July 30, 2008

Well I thought I should tell the story on how are sweet little girl entered the world.
July 29th was just a normal day. I decided to go out for lunch and to the pool with Aase, Brooklynn and Nicole and Hendrix. I had a pretty good day. When I got home Houston went dirtebiking and I decided to go for a walk because I wanted this baby to get out of me. haha I know I still had a week before my due date so I wasn't really expecting anything to happen. I went for a walk to get a movie. When I came back I was pretty tired and my back hurt so I had a long bath. Afterwards I watched my movie and then when it was over I heard Houston come in the door. A couple minutes later I hurt a pop and decided to head to the toilet and sure enough my water had broke. It was around 11:30pm. I phoned my mom and told her my water broke and she said I should head to the hospital soon. I didn't want to go to the hospital to early because every one says not to. Houston came inside had a shower and then we were off. At around 12:30am we got to the hospital. My mom was there shortly after we were and she brought Emily.
The nurse checked me out and I was already 6cm, whichI thought was really good. My contractions were really strong and close together so soon that the baby's heart rate was jumping up and down so they gave me some morphine to slow down the contractions. At 2:30am I started pushing and by 2:59am our sweet little angel arrived.
We named her Sydney Michelle Woolf. She weighed 7lbs. 1oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. They said she was a prefect baby, which was exactly what I wanted to hear. She was so cute with her dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. She had really long fingers and pretty big feet. She was just so cute and perfect!
I would have to say I was pretty proud of myself for not having an epidural. Yeah me!! haha. I was also pretty darn happy the I was only in labor for 3 1/2 hours. Everyone gave me the horror stories about labor and I was kind of scared of having a freaking 12 hour labor of something like that. Thank goodness it wasn't long.
